FLYING DURING LOCKDOWN?

Flying during Lockdown is going to be a little different, as we’ve had to implement a number of measures onboard and at the airport to ensure optimum safety for our passengers and staff. So, to get you prepared for your journey, we’ve put together a Safety Travel Guide so you know what to bring and what to expect when flying.

GETTING TO THE AIRPORT

Things You Need For Your Flight:

Normal drop-and-go areas will be closed, all customers are to enter the terminal through parking facilities. Only passengers may enter the terminal.

To allow for enough time for safety procedures and protocols at the airport, please arrive two hours before your flights


AT THE AIRPORT

Port Health will screen everyone at the entrance to the terminal. Travellers will be required to show their travel documentation and undertake a temperature test.

Social distance must be observed inside the terminal. Floor stickers will indicate distancing and perspex screens at check-in counters.

Customers are required to Self-Scan to clear security.


BOARDING & ON THE AIRCRAFT

Boarding will be managed in small groups. Customers will self-scan boarding passes and display, not hand over, ID/Passport documents.

Aircraft will be wiped and fogged between flights.

There will be no catering or Inflight magazines onboard; and limited movement when on the aircraft.

All customers will be hand sanitised when boarding.


DISEMBARKATION

To maintain social distancing when leaving the aircraft, passengers will disembark as follows: Aisle seats first, middle and then window seats.


Remember that YOU are responsible for checking that you have the correct documentation and authorizations to travel under the Level 3 regulations before booking your travel arrangements. Failure to produce the required and correct travel documentation will result in you not being allowed to board your flight.

Remember to only travel when it is absolutely necessary.
